Alaska Fishing Vacations: Outdoor Heaven on Earth for Serious Anglers
- December 10th, 2011
Looking to take a vacation this coming summer? Love to go fishing? Are you a serious fisherman or just a part-timer? Have you been everywhere and seen it all? Mmm Have you ever been on Alaska fishing vacations? No!? Well, pack your bags and get ready for the thrill of a lifetime. Not a roller coaster, mind you, but an honest-to-goodness one week fishing trip that will blow your mind. Alaska is a fisherman’s paradise. Like the fight? Try huge Alaskan Salmon on for size. They’ll tear you up whether you fish for them in the sea or during mating season in a river rich with white rapids and boulders. Wild salmon taste real good too!
Don’t forget to bring strong fishing gear too. If you plan to fish for ninety-pound halibut, you’ll need a strong line and a good rig for shallow 100-ft waters – that’s where halibut hang out in the summertime. Worried about how to get out where the fish are? Well, hire a fishing charter boat and captain who knows the coast or if you’re into trout fishing, get a fishing lodge near one of the many rivers in Alaska.
Whatever you do, you will come back a changed person with a greater appreciation of what real nature is all about. You won’t be the first to go on Alaska fishing vacations and you certainly won’t be the last either. In fact, you’ll probably want to return someday. Alaska is very family-friendly too. The state even has nice cities with all the amenities you can think of. The real soul of Alaska however, lies in its abundant natural elements. The mountains, the wild rushing rivers, the pristine lakes, the coastline, the clean feeling you get when hike and that extra survival awareness and instinct that will grow inside you as you hike around the wildlife.
Lots of people take Alaska Fishing Vacations and they generally are taught to make reservations early, like 6 months early in order to get the best fishing spots and charter boat captains.
